Taxes can be confusing and intimidating, but having a basic understanding of them is essential for any freelance artist. 

Syllabus:

Weeks 1 and 2 of this course will be led by Dr. Jeffrey Nytch, Director of the Entrepreneurship for Music at the University of Colorado-Boulder, and will provide an overview of how taxes work in general and the particular issues every musician needs to know to assemble their tax return.

On Week 3 Dr. Nytch will moderate an open Q&A session with YCA's fabulous accountant, Lisa Nuñez.
